This site is run by Alex Albano under the Moon Foundry brand. I collect and use a small amount of personal data to make the site work and to understand how readers find it. I do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond what is described here.

What data I collect, and why

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form at /contact, I collect your name, email address, the inquiry type you selected, and the message you wrote. This data is sent to me via Brevo (a transactional email provider), and your name and email are added to a Brevo contact list so I can reply and, if relevant, follow up. I use this data solely to respond to your inquiry.

Newsletter subscriptions

Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Substack at moonfoundry.substack.com. When you subscribe through this site, you are sent to Substack, and Substack collects your email address under its own privacy policy. I do not store newsletter subscriber data on this site.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate patterns of how readers find and move through the site (pages visited, referring sources, approximate country, device type). Analytics cookies are set only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Deny, no analytics cookies are set and Google receives no data about your session. IP addresses are anonymised by default. I do not run advertising and do not use any ad-targeting cookies.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's infrastructure retains standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for operational and security purposes. These logs are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy and are not accessible to me as aggregated personal data.

Who I share data with

I share data only with the service providers that make the site work:

• Brevo: processes contact form submissions and maintains the inbound-contact list.
• Google Analytics: aggregate analytics, only if you consent.
• Substack: newsletter subscriber management, under its own policy.
• Cloudflare: hosting and infrastructure.

I do not sell personal data to anyone.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or any jurisdiction with comparable privacy law, you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or ask me to stop using it. To exercise any of these rights, email me via the contact page.

You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time by visiting the cookie policy.

Retention

Contact form submissions and the associated Brevo contact record are retained until you request deletion or until I determine the record is no longer relevant (typically 24 months of inactivity). Analytics data is retained by Google for the default retention period set on the GA4 property (14 months).

Changes to this policy

If I change how this site collects or uses data, I will update this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes that affect existing visitors, I will also add a notice on the home page for at least 14 days.
